In its quest for total grinding solutions, CUMI has redefined dressers. CUMIDRESS range of dressers are made from carefully selected natural crystal diamonds mounted by means of special bonds. The natural points of the diamonds make themse dressers extremely sharp and highly durable. 






The CUMIDRESS range of dressers are also specifically designed to cater to different application needs., eliminating inconsistencies in caratage and sizes. Made by the most advanced technology, CUMIDRESS precision dressers not only extend wheel life but also maximise its grinding potential.

CUMIDRESS I, II & III - Single Point
  
The dresser should be held as rigidly and as close to the point as possible to ensure vibration-free operation.
The diamond point of the dresser should be presented at an angle between 3 to 10 degrees relative to the centre line of the wheel. It should have a trailing position as shown in Fig. A.
Infeeds         : 0.01 to 0.03 mm / stroke
Feed rates    : 0.03 to 0.20 mm / revolution
The larger the infeed and feed rates, the coarser the surface finish of the grinding wheel.
When the dresser's diamond point becomes flat as in Fig. B, it should be rotated in the machine tool holder.
To maintain diamond sharpness, the dresser should be rotated in the holder at 15 to 45
degrees as shown in Fig. C. Rotating the dresser before starting the machine for the day would enhance the life of the tool as well as provide consistent performance.
Dressing is to be carried out at normal speeds with copious amount of coolant.
The dresser should not be quenched if by accident it becomesoverheated. It should be allowed to cool naturally.
Never use a worn out diamond tool as it may jam into grinding wheel and fracture or disintegrate.
For best results, each machine should have its own dresser.

  
CUMIDRESS M - Multi Point

Dressing rates for CUMIDRESS M can be upto 3 times higher than single point dressers.
Feed rates            : 0.10 to 0.50 mm per revolution approx.
Dressing infeed    : 0.01 to 0.03 mm per stroke.
Finer feed and infeed rates will produce finer surface finishes. All other directions remain the same as for Single Point Dressers.
